Your Role
As an AI/Machine Learning Engineering Intern, you will be instrumental in crafting intelligent product experiences that empower students to discover and secure career opportunities. Your responsibilities will involve enhancing search, recommendation, and matching algorithms that drive job exploration on our platform.
This internship offers hands-on experience in the development, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models in real-world applications, providing insight into the design, optimization, and maintenance of large-scale ML systems.
This is a paid, full-time summer internship with two cohort options:
May 18 – August 7, 2026
June 15 – September 4, 2026
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to develop machine learning models that enhance user experience.
Create Agentic pipelines and workflows to optimize the Handshake experience for students and employers.
Engage in experimentation, model evaluation, and performance monitoring.
Contribute to technical discussions, brainstorming sessions, and team reviews.
Document methodologies and findings to foster knowledge sharing and long-term improvements.
