Job Overview:
The Analyzer Service Technician plays a vital role in supporting analyzer service and maintenance operations at refinery and petrochemical facilities. This hands-on position involves the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of process analyzers, sample conditioning systems, and associated field instruments. The ideal candidate will ensure the maintenance and reliable functioning of analytical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on process analyzers and sample systems.
Assist in the calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of analyzers and sample conditioning systems.
Support the installation and commissioning of analyzer shelters and cabinets.
Implement maintenance schedules and maintain detailed calibration and maintenance records.
Inspect, clean, and replace filters, probes, and sample lines to ensure optimal analyzer performance.
Assist engineers during analyzer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and shutdown processes.
Adhere to safety standards, Permit to Work (PTW), and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures.
Manage spare parts and ensure the availability of necessary maintenance materials.
Provide on-site technical support while effectively communicating with customers.
Ensure good housekeeping and accurate documentation of analyzer maintenance activities.
Types of Analyzer Systems Managed:
Process Gas Analyzers – Oxygen, Hydrogen, Hydrocarbon, Infrared/UV-based.
Gas Chromatographs (GCs) – Applied in refinery and process gas scenarios.
Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) – For gas and dust analysis.
Moisture Analyzers – For hydrocarbon and gas streams.
Liquid Process Analyzers – pH, Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen, Chlorine, Turbidity, Water Cut, Oil-in-Water.
Combustion and Flue Gas Analyzers – Used in fired heaters, boilers, and furnaces.
Physical Property Analyzers – RVP, Salf in Crude, Flash Point, Density, Viscosity.
Sample Conditioning and Recovery Systems – For both process and emission analyzers.
