We are on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Apparel Production Specialist to oversee and optimize the entire production process for our client's Global DTC and Amazon channels. This pivotal role will manage the production lifecycle from purchase order placement to final product delivery, ensuring operational excellence across a diverse vendor network.
This position demands strong vendor management skills, expertise in systems, and a disciplined approach to operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee the complete production lifecycle from PO issuance to bulk production and delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for DTC and Amazon initiatives.
- Monitor work in progress (WIP), track milestones, and proactively address potential delays or risks.
- Transform sales forecasts into actionable production plans.
- Ensure precision in costing, timelines, and delivery commitments.
Global Vendor Management:
- Establish and nurture international vendor partnerships across Asia, Africa, and various sourcing regions.
- Supervise capacity planning, pricing strategies, and vendor performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to production protocols, top-of-production, and final inspection standards.
- Proactively address production delays, quality concerns, and compliance issues.
Channel Execution for Amazon & DTC:
- Manage production requirements specific to the Amazon Marketplace.
- Ensure compliance with Amazon's packaging, labeling, and bundling guidelines.
- Support intricate packaging programs, including bundle configurations.
- Coordinate with fulfillment partners and third-party logistics (3PL) to align with DTC launch timelines and delivery schedules.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with teams in Product Development, Sales, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Planning, and 3PL.
- Provide precise WIP updates and production reports to stakeholders.
