As the Area Sales Manager for Central America & Mexico, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales initiatives, nurturing existing client relationships, and uncovering new business opportunities.
Your key responsibility will be key account management—fostering and expanding relationships with current customers while activating local markets. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting our business development efforts to enhance our market presence.
Collaboration will be essential as you work alongside the regional teams (including the Area Sales Manager for Latin America and the Technical Training Specialist for Latin America) and various cross-functional teams based in Belgium, such as Sales Support, Marketing, and Product Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market trends within the region. Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure their retention and growth. Proactively design and execute structured growth and prospecting strategies aligned with regional goals.
Meet sales targets by driving revenue growth across Central America & Mexico. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to enhance our market presence. Negotiate pricing and agreements to ensure compliance with regional pricing strategies while maintaining margins. Act as a brand ambassador, frequently visiting distributors to provide training and sales support.
Engage proactively with the market by collaborating with distributor sales teams to deliver ongoing support, identify new business opportunities, and enhance sell-out performance through targeted initiatives.
Collaborate with the Regional Marketing Manager and Product Management to develop and implement tailored go-to-market strategies. Assist distributors in sell-out activation through training, local events, and promotional campaigns.
Work in partnership with HQ departments (Finance, Pricing, Supply & Demand, Sales Support) to develop effective logistics, inventory, and pricing strategies that meet customer demands. Collect and analyze market intelligence (pricing, trends, competitors) to identify opportunities and refine strategies.
Regularly assess and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to regional and leadership teams.
