In this pivotal role, you will assist the General Manager in managing the daily operations of our beloved diner. Your leadership will ensure exceptional customer experiences, uphold food safety and quality standards, and cultivate a motivated team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
- Support the General Manager in daily operational activities, including opening and closing tasks.
- Monitor and manage dining and kitchen operations during shifts for seamless service delivery.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and deliveries to align stock levels with business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Team Leadership
- Lead by example, overseeing both front and back-of-house staff.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of team members.
- Coach staff to achieve high performance and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Facilitate conflict resolution among employees and promote a collaborative team culture.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Monitor service quality, promptly addressing customer feedback and concerns.
- Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that aligns with Miss J’s Cafe's brand values.
- Assist in serving guests as needed to maintain timely and high-quality service.
Financial Oversight
- Contribute to achieving sales and profitability objectives.
- Monitor labor costs, minimize waste, and assist in managing operational expenditure.
- Review daily sales reports and collaborate with the General Manager on cost control strategies.
