Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Restaurant Leader with the daily operations of the restaurant, while ensuring that Raising Cane’s exceptional standards and culture are upheld throughout all aspects of the restaurant's functioning.
This position requires a dynamic work environment, focusing on a fast-paced kitchen atmosphere that necessitates physical stamina, including extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and bending, as well as customer interaction. The job entails both indoor and outdoor work across varying temperatures, managing food products, and adhering to safety measures involving allergens and industrial equipment. Personal protective equipment will be required during various tasks.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the hiring and termination processes for all hourly non-management team members.
- Manage onboarding, status changes, and payroll for hourly employees.
- Develop and maintain work and training schedules for team members.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of hourly team members through coaching and constructive feedback.
- Act as the manager on duty, responsible for opening and closing the restaurant.
- Supervise cash handling procedures and ensure accountability.
General Responsibilities:
- Enforce compliance with Raising Cane’s policies and operational standards.
- Conduct shift management according to Raising Cane’s safety and operational guidelines.
- Utilize necessary tools and documentation to support shift execution and implement corrective actions as required.
- Allocate team members effectively during shifts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
- Implement the reward and recognition programs for team members.
- Authorize employee actions requiring managerial approval (e.g., discounts, promotions, timeclock adjustments).
- Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the restaurant environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
