ASSISTANT MANAGER
Join the IHOP team as an Assistant Manager, where you will play a key role in our restaurant operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee both front and back of house operations, focusing on profitability, sales growth, and adherence to IHOP's high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive consistent sales growth by managing all aspects of restaurant performance, ensuring all profit and loss goals are met or exceeded.
- Lead the restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including decision-making, staff support, guest engagement, and maintaining cleanliness and quality standards.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to team members, fostering their development and ensuring compliance with uniform standards.
- Conduct line checks to verify food specifications on weights, temperatures, cleanliness, and organization throughout the shift.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels to ensure guest satisfaction and drive sales.
- Participate in the hiring and training of top-quality hourly staff, conducting orientations that set a positive tone for new employees.
- Prepare end-of-shift reports, including Daily Sales Reports and Labor Controls, to monitor company assets effectively.
- Order necessary supplies to uphold operational standards and maintain par levels.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement effective strategies to enhance performance.
- Authorize and oversee food and beverage discounts.
- Ensure a safe working environment by reducing risks and promptly reporting any incidents to the General Manager.
- Adhere to security procedures to protect employees, guests, and company assets.
- Keep the General Manager informed of any unit issues and take corrective actions as needed.
