- A solid history of success in teaching and educational leadership
- In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and the ability to implement it effectively
- Strong oral and written communication skills
What You'll Do
- Communicate classroom expectations for instructional delivery to teachers
- Oversee school data and systems
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff
- Collaborate with instructional coaches to assess and recommend curricula and instructional methods, participating in data meetings
- Manage the implementation of external assessment systems and utilize data for informed decision-making
- Construct and oversee student rosters based on data
- Attend grade team meetings to help develop strategies that enhance student achievement
- Monitor progress and student achievement against set benchmarks
- Work with the Director of Operations to manage testing materials
- Conduct formal observations of teachers and provide constructive feedback
- Partner with administrative teams to develop summer staff orientation and curriculum development periods
- Coordinate team-building activities
- Perform weekly checks on Gradebooks and lesson plans
- Oversee school scheduling
- Act as Testing Coordinator
- Schedule substitute teachers as needed
- Manage tutor schedules
- Review academic logs
- Provide additional instructional support to students during extended learning opportunities
