Join AHRC NYC as an Assistant Regional Manager (ARM) and play a pivotal role in overseeing our Employment Business Services programs in Staten Island.
As the ARM, you will provide essential support to the Regional Managers across various domains, including account management, contract operations, customer service, staff training, and account development. Your involvement will be crucial in troubleshooting and stabilizing challenged sites, while strategically implementing systems that enhance the self-sufficiency of our accounts. This role aims to streamline operations within the region and encourage growth.
The ARM will be responsible for ensuring the comprehensive training of all Supervisory staff, including Senior Coordinating Foreperson, Foreperson, Production Specialists, and Lead Porters. Additionally, you will leverage your expertise to conduct research and identify resources for cost analysis in the bidding process.
Salary: $60,000 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package, detailed below.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assign tasks and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with contract standards.
- Manage orders and monitor supplies and equipment within budget constraints.
- Adhere to site-specific budgetary and compliance guidelines regarding labor components.
- Address and resolve worker issues, including performance, punctuality, and behavior, or escalate to the appointed supervisor as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records for all subordinate staff, including annual evaluations, memos, and disciplinary actions.
- Serve as a backup to the Senior Regional Manager during absences, reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director.
- Act as a trainer for supervisory staff, focusing on safe and effective landscaping, cleaning, and snow removal services.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and reinforce these through training.
- Implement work schedules and back-up systems as needed.
- Effectively manage labor hours to maintain an 80% employment ratio for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain professional communication within and outside the department, including with HIRE, Careers, NYSID, and customers.
