POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager to ensure effective daily operations that drive sales and profitability. This includes overseeing merchandising, managing expenses and inventory, training and developing team members, and providing outstanding customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and enhance the performance of the retail store staff.
Ensure adherence to all company policies and operational procedures.
Exemplify strong leadership to inspire commitment to store objectives and training standards.
Assist in recruiting, selecting, and training store personnel.
Provide constructive feedback to the Store Manager during annual performance evaluations.
Support expense management and devise strategies to meet budgetary goals.
Help monitor and resolve issues related to inventory loss and inconsistencies, ensuring shrinkage goals are met.
Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and business standards.
Facilitate training for all employees on suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Uphold customer service standards to guarantee a welcoming environment for all shoppers.
Assist with regular merchandise inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
Standard work week not to exceed 40 hours with a flexible schedule required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
