About You
The Associate Director position in Transport Planning and Strategic Consulting is a senior leadership role dedicated to delivering cutting-edge and sustainable transport solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass leadership, client engagement, project execution, business development, and team mentoring. Candidates should possess extensive experience in transport planning, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.
The Leeds office boasts a proven track record of successfully executing Transport Planning projects and collaborates closely with various disciplines including Streets and Technology, Highways, Aviation, Ports, Rail, and Environmental sectors. The team's assignments range from feasibility studies and detailed design to on-site management, primarily serving public sector clients.
We are currently seeking an Associate Director to oversee and drive the execution of diverse transport projects. This role is ideal for a self-driven individual eager to take a leading role in client relations and manage dynamic teams delivering high-quality projects that include:
- Transportation studies across all modes, including active travel and passenger priority initiatives
- Modeling and data analytics to support public sector business case development and funding requests
- Development of localized and strategic transport models
- Collaborative involvement in multi-disciplinary major projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the creation and implementation of strategic initiatives to expand the transport planning and consulting division. Ensure alignment of team objectives with AECOM’s broader business aims, fostering integration across disciplines. Demonstrate proven skills in winning projects, managing them effectively, and fostering excellent client relationships.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including public sector agencies, private developers, and infrastructure operators. Offer strategic counsel to clients, ensuring their objectives are met with innovative and sustainable solutions. Represent AECOM at client meetings, industry events, and conferences to bolster the company’s reputation as a leader in transport planning.
