Role Overview
The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will be an integral part of our Manufacturing team, reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing. This position involves collaboration with Design Engineering, Marketing, and technicians. The selected candidate will engage in hands-on tasks such as repairing field units, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) on failures, and implementing design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), or quality assurance (QA) preventative measures. Proactive communication of failure metrics will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance processes to ensure all products meet our rigorous performance, quality, and reliability standards.
- Facilitate reliability improvements through in-depth RCA and failure analysis, effectively resolving manufacturing and design issues.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation, including FMEAs, RCAs, audit preparation materials, and quality records.
- Organize and analyze field returns, identifying failure trends to reduce repair costs.
- Conduct performance reliability testing, including designing experiments and building test fixtures.
- Perform general manufacturing tasks including production floor management, inventory control, order fulfillment, and product assembly.
- Undertake additional duties as necessary.
