About the Role:
As an Associate of Risk and Compliance, you will play a critical role in ensuring Oscar adheres to industry standards, regulations, and laws. You will assess operational practices, develop and implement policies and procedures, and conduct regulatory reviews. Your efforts will help us achieve and maintain compliance across all facets of our operations.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate Compliance.
Work Location: This position is located in Tempe, AZ, with a hybrid work schedule that includes three days in the office each week. Thursdays will be reserved for team meetings and events, while you can choose your other two in-office days based on your convenience. #LI-Hybrid
Pay Transparency: The base salary for this position ranges from $88,560 to $116,235 annually. Additionally, you will have access to employee benefits, partake in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and be eligible for annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure compliance levels are maintained.
- Deliver training sessions to team members about regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that all team members understand the necessary procedures to meet compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute compliance improvement plans as needed.
- Assign tasks to other departments to enhance compliance levels.
- Create reports for the governing body.
- Support regulatory authorities during site visits and external audits.
- Prepare for and conduct audits in collaboration with external authorities.
- Perform regular audits across all required areas to ensure compliance standards.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in health plan compliance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with state Department of Insurance health insurance regulations and compliance.
