As a key player in the realm of Translational Precision Medicine within Neuroscience, you will integrate foundational research on the brain and nervous system with clinical applications, directing your efforts towards the discovery of biological and disease insights pertinent to neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate neurobiological disease mechanisms to identify patient subtypes, elucidate mechanisms of action, and develop innovative therapeutic interventions.
- Formulate testable hypotheses concerning neurobiological pathways, neuronal circuitry, cognitive or behavioral domains, or functional markers of disease that align with and propel pipeline and disease area goals. Collaborate with PMed DAS leads and other functional heads to create and implement effective operational strategies that yield actionable results.
- Enhance human neuroscience initiatives by fostering research collaborations across R&D areas in accordance with strategic disease area objectives.
- Steer the scientific strategy for the development of translational biomarkers and validation of discovery targets/MOA projects.
- Lead the design of clinically translational experiments in partnership with PMED, clinical leads, or translational research teams to meet strategic disease area goals.
- Forge external partnerships to bolster internal translational initiatives and broaden experimental design possibilities.
- Guarantee the quality and efficacy of major project plans within precision medicine through meticulous design and proactive risk assessment.
- Advance clinical translational efforts by aligning with relevant stakeholders and leadership while adeptly managing current and emerging business challenges to achieve objectives.
