Work Location and Flexibility
In addition to our global offices, we partner with talented freelancers and contractors from around the world to help us reach our ambitious goals. While we embrace flexible and remote-friendly working methods, this specific role is focused on Jakarta, Indonesia, to ensure optimal support and collaboration among our teams.
This is a 6-month contract position, requiring 20 hours of work per week.
Your Responsibilities
As an Audio Content Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, enhancing, and maintaining the quality of free and royalty-free music and sound effects within Pixabay’s audio library.
In this role, you will evaluate user-submitted audio for technical quality, usability, metadata accuracy, and licensing compliance, ensuring that all content aligns with platform standards and is ready for creative use in the real world. You will work closely with contributor submissions, applying clear guidelines and making consistent quality decisions at scale.
In addition to your daily review tasks, you will help improve metadata structures, content guidelines, and review workflows, ensuring long-term discoverability and operational efficiency. Your contributions will help maintain Pixabay’s audio library as a trusted, searchable, and valuable resource for a global community of creators.

Identifying high-quality audio suitable for enhancement and use across various platforms.
Cultivating standout audio content and contributors to elevate overall library quality.
Collaborating with internal teams to enhance ingestion processes, metadata standards, and review workflows.
Supporting contributor education through written guidance, blog posts, or forum assistance, along with aiding customer support teams with audio-related inquiries.
Offering feedback and insights to product teams to refine audio review tools, workflows, and contributor experiences.
Contributing to the development of scalable review guidelines and quality assurance processes, including support for AI-assisted review initiatives.
You Might Be the Perfect Fit If You:
Possess hands-on experience in audio production, editing, mixing, or mastering, and can confidently evaluate technical quality.
