About the Position
Jane Street is seeking a skilled Audio/Visual (AV) Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our advanced AV infrastructure. As a pivotal element of Jane Street's operations, our AV requirements are continuously evolving, ranging from traditional conference settings to sophisticated trading environments and hybrid collaboration spaces.
In this dynamic role, you will oversee all AV systems, collaboration platforms, and teleconferencing services, which includes managing complex event venues (500+ person auditoriums), standard meeting rooms (4-50 person capacity), huddle spaces, trading floor communication systems, live event support, and digital signage/IPTV networks. We are looking for someone passionate about AV technology who is eager to address business challenges by researching, testing, and deploying innovative technologies in our fast-paced financial setting.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide scope, requiring you to act as the subject matter expert for AV systems. You'll maintain and support existing technologies while establishing design standards for new and expanding spaces. Providing exceptional technical support, whether during field installations or directly troubleshooting with end users, will be a key part of your role. Our AV Engineers also collaborate closely with our Technology and Infrastructure teams during expansion projects, ensuring that the infrastructure needs for each project are effectively met.
Our team consists of AV generalists, and we expect everyone to contribute across all operational areas (builds, operations, event support). While this position will primarily focus on expansion and builds, success in this role requires adaptability to shift focuses and provide support wherever necessary.
