Your focus will be on achieving dealership profitability, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and enhancing your personal sales skills across four key areas: effective work habits, proactive prospecting, engaging selling techniques, and diligent follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize customer satisfaction as the foundation of your sales approach.
- Engage customers by understanding their vehicle requirements through effective questioning and active listening.
- Showcase vehicles through demonstrations and facilitate test drives.
- Guide customers through the vehicle delivery process, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the vehicle’s features, warranties, and necessary paperwork, laying the groundwork for lasting loyalty.
- Set and pursue personal income goals aligning with dealership productivity standards, crafting strategies to meet those goals.
- Regularly report to the Sales Manager on objectives, planned activities, and performance analysis.
- Stay informed about incoming inventory and the benefits of vehicle features and accessories.
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturer.
- Maintain a systematic approach to prospect development.
- Develop a follow-up system for owners that encourages repeat and referral business.
- Reflect on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time management and planning.
- Stay updated on automotive terminology and technological advancements.
- Understand vehicle equity, values, and depreciation concepts to effectively communicate with customers.
- Familiarize yourself with federal, state, and local regulations governing automobile sales.
- Introduce customers to service department personnel, showcasing the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and promptly report any incidents to management.
