As an Automotive Service Advisor reporting to the Store Manager, you will uphold our commitment to excellence and embody our core values to enhance the operations within the service department. Your role involves fostering a dynamic and motivated team environment while collaborating closely with the Service Team to boost their performance through active engagement in the store. You will be responsible for developing team members, implementing store processes, and ensuring that we consistently deliver a top-tier customer experience in the industry.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Engaging directly with customers in sales, service, and addressing customer needs and adjustments.
- Cultivating a highly motivated team atmosphere.
- Overseeing technicians and service personnel, planning and scheduling their tasks, assigning work, and monitoring the completion of assignments.
- Providing coaching to service department teammates on all operational matters.
- Assessing the performance and productivity of service department personnel.
- Managing parts inventory and overseeing outside purchases, including updating and restocking in-house parts as necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, including the use and maintenance of safety equipment.
- Supervising the service department's layout and organization of equipment/hardware.
- Overseeing the shop area, equipment, and team for adherence to company safety procedures.
- Ensuring that appropriate inspections are conducted regularly.
