Join the ranks of skilled automotive professionals at Gay Family Kia as a Kia Certified Service Technician. This unique opportunity is designed specifically for military veterans, allowing you to transition your expertise into an exciting career in the automotive industry through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia and retailer policies.
- Conduct test drives to analyze, diagnose, and repair vehicle components and systems utilizing Kia diagnostic tools and strategies.
- Perform services and repairs efficiently while collaborating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
This position is offered through independently owned Kia retailers, and applicants will be applying for full-time roles with a participating retailer, not KUS or ERS. Employment opportunities are subject to federal and state regulations applicable to each retailer location.
Requirements:
- Must possess an Honorable Discharge from military service.
- Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record.
- Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
- Willingness to undergo and pass drug screening and background checks.
