WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
Join us at the renowned Horizon North camp facility, where you will work a regular shift of 20 days on, followed by 10 days off, with daily hours totaling 11. Transportation to the site is conveniently provided from a designated pickup location.
As a Baker, your primary responsibility will be to create and bake a variety of goods, ensuring they meet the high standards expected by Horizon North, ultimately delighting our clients.
This position is safety-sensitive and mandates drug, alcohol, and fitness assessments as prerequisites for employment.
Your duties will include:
- Identifying and implementing improvements in overall kitchen operations as needed.
- Preparing and baking goods from scratch in large quantities.
- Restocking pastry shelves and ensuring a fresh supply of baked products.
- Creating and adhering to menus to maintain quality across all baked items, including squares, pies, cakes, and hot desserts.
- Maintaining consistency in food quality as per client specifications, paying special attention to dietary restrictions.
- Complying with food safety standards in accordance with the Food Safety Act and HACCP.
- Following all organizational safety policies and regulations.
- Cleaning, washing, and sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Assisting with various kitchen roles, from dishwashing to meal preparation and execution, ensuring timely meal service and cleanliness.
- Performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
