About the job
Join our dedicated team at Centria Autism as a Behavior Technician, where your enthusiasm can transform the lives of children with autism. In this rewarding role, you will engage with children one-on-one, implementing tailored behavior intervention plans under the mentorship of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Through evidence-based techniques, you will help foster communication, social interactions, and essential daily living skills, all while working to reduce challenging behaviors.
We seek individuals who are passionate about supporting children with autism in achieving their fullest potential. Patience, compassion, and teamwork are essential qualities for success in this role. Comprehensive training will be provided, empowering you to make a significant impact, regardless of prior experience. It’s important to note that children can be unpredictable; therefore, this role demands resilience and physical readiness. You should be comfortable with various physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or items weighing up to 50 pounds.
At the end of each day, you will take pride in knowing that you’ve made a meaningful contribution to the lives of children and their families. If you are ready to be part of a team making a positive difference, we encourage you to apply now!
