POSITION TITLE: Benefits Verification Specialist (Reimbursement Counselor)
Location: Monroeville, PA 15140
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key member of our healthcare team, the Benefits Verification Specialist will engage with insurance providers to confirm specific benefits for patients. This role involves thoroughly inquiring about coverage details and entering necessary data to ensure accurate documentation of patient benefit plans.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Gather and assess all relevant patient insurance details to facilitate the benefit verification process.
· Confirm patient-specific benefits and meticulously record details for various insurance plans, including coverage specifics, cost-sharing, and provider access options in accordance with program SOPs.
· The verification may involve electronic verification of pharmacy coverage and medical eligibility.
· Identify any limitations and provide insights on how to streamline patient access to services.
· Document and initiate processes for prior authorization, claims appeals, and other necessary administrative tasks.
· Conduct quality checks of your work as part of the final review process.
· Report any trends or delays in reimbursement to your supervisor.
· Fulfill additional duties and special projects as assigned.
· Ability to thrive in a dynamic office setting.
· This position involves extended periods of sitting.
