Your responsibilities will encompass setting up equipment, operating the paint line, conducting inspections, and managing materials efficiently. Adhering to Ply Gem's safety and procedural guidelines is paramount as you work collaboratively to achieve productivity goals.
- Execute all tasks assigned by CCL department leadership to ensure smooth operations.
- Understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each task performed.
- Seek supervisor approval for any deviations from established procedures.
- Proactively address safety hazards, minimize equipment downtime, reduce scrap generation, and rectify any deviations from quality standards.
- Accurately complete required documentation, including production records and quality checks.
- Operate equipment to produce products in specified quantities.
- Conduct quality checks at designated intervals to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Effectively manage waste materials, including proper segregation of recyclables and hazardous wastes.
- Minimize waste generation through efficient practices.
- Operate the wastewater neutralization system and maintain discharges within permissible ranges.
- Document production information for EPA reporting accurately.
- Transport hazardous wastes safely to designated accumulation areas, ensuring proper inspection, labeling, and loading for offsite shipment.
- Conduct required inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas.
