Position Overview
As a Bindery Operator, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our printing process. This involves wrapping, padding, stitching, and packaging printed materials to produce finished products ready for shipment. You will utilize both machinery and manual techniques, ensuring that each product meets our quality standards while navigating our tracking system.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate various bindery equipment including stitchers, drills, padders, strappers, and shrink wrap machines. (15%)
- Manage and process all relevant paperwork. (10%)
- Maintain quality control by comparing printed products to run header sheets and proofreading for accuracy. (15%)
- Construct boxes, insert orders and flyers, label, and seal packages. (20%)
- Scan boxed orders into the system and print shipping labels via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. (20%)
- Verify label accuracy and organize labeled boxes on pallets. (15%)
- Prepare skids for shipment according to customer specifications and assist in loading trucks. (5%)
- Coordinate with truck brokers for truckload and LTL shipments, preparing all relevant documentation. (5%)
- Process international mail and associated paperwork. (5%)
- Keep the workstation clean and restock as necessary, along with other assigned duties. (5%)
