As a Budget Controller, you will play a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and optimizing our organization's financial resources. Your expertise will ensure that expenditures align with our strategic goals and approved budgets. You will be responsible for creating and managing budgets, tracking spending, and providing data-driven insights that facilitate informed decision-making and enhance cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports to support project planning and control initiatives.
- Collaborate with all functional departments to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project control databases and reports.
- Manage the reconciliation of program control data with financial and performance systems, coordinating closely with Project Managers.
- Verify the accuracy of cost information, ensuring proper coding and allocation to project budgets.
- Prepare necessary accounting and project cost reports.
- Produce reports analyzing deviations, under-runs, and over-runs.
- Prepare forecasts and cost trend analyses.
- Monitor project costs and commitments to budget and forecast, collaborating with Investment Planning & Control on Capital Budget needs.
- Maintain change control processes and the change order register.
- Assess progress measurement and develop/update progress curves for reporting, ensuring Earned Value Management (EVM) is applied throughout all project stages.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in Project Controlling, with supervisory experience preferred.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- CAPM or EVM Certification or equivalent (subject to AVANGRID approval).
- Experience with SAP systems is a strong advantage.
