Join LaBella Associates as a Building Code Inspection Manager in White Plains, NY! We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead and enhance our field inspection operations across Westchester County and the Lower Hudson Valley. This pivotal role involves daily oversight of our inspection teams, tackling complex projects such as high-rise buildings, and ensuring uniform practices across all projects. Collaborate closely with Project Coordinators and Client Managers to facilitate effective scheduling, reporting, and issue resolution for ongoing construction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to regional field inspectors, focusing on scheduling, mentoring, and performance enhancement.
- Oversee comprehensive building code inspections throughout all construction phases, including site grading, foundations, concrete placement, framing, insulation, fire protection systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems, culminating with final inspections.
- Ensure meticulous documentation in the field, including photo logs, inspection notes, and standardized reporting templates.
- Act as the primary liaison for municipal building and fire code officials regarding inspection matters within the designated region.
- Engage with contractors, developers, and municipal authorities to address inspection findings and compliance issues effectively.
- Serve as a communication bridge between inspectors, Project Coordinators, and Client Managers concerning field-related issues.
- Monitor inspection statuses, deficiencies, corrective actions, and follow-up inspections leading to project closeout.
- Maintain and track TCO/CO information, supporting the coordination of construction closeout documentation.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of inspection procedures, reporting standards, and field protocols.
- Encourage the adoption of innovative inspection and tracking technologies to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Provide technical guidance on code interpretations and field conditions as necessary.
