We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive client and project growth in our Salisbury, MD office, specifically targeting the Eastern Shore of Delmarva, including regions in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. This is an exempt position offering a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with office leadership and business development teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of our services, expertise, and relevant sectors, clients, and projects.
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop a targeted list of sectors, organizations, and key individuals for outreach, with input from office leadership.
- Initiate contact with potential clients to build rapport and set up meetings.
- Foster and enhance relationships with existing clients to maximize their engagement and value.
- Establish strong connections with key industry players, such as architects, developers, realtors, and brokers, particularly in sectors like healthcare, education, and government.
- Engage technical staff in the relationship-building process to enhance client interactions.
- Optimize the client mix to align with market demands, quality, sales targets, growth, and profit margins.
- Attend industry conferences, meetings, and networking events, participating in client lunches and making impactful presentations.
- Join and contribute to relevant professional societies and committees to enhance industry presence.
- Set and monitor strategic goals for business development and growth, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance the company’s business development systems, policies, and practices while ensuring excellent record-keeping.
- Coordinate closely with other business development staff and the Corporate Marketing Manager to ensure timely and efficient completion of qualifications, bids, and proposals.
