Role Overview
We seek an experienced Senior Business Development Manager for Anglophone Africa to spearhead and nurture strategic partnerships across pivotal markets. This role will concentrate on collaborations with financial institutions, regulators, aggregators, and mobile money operators, playing an essential part in expanding operational corridors, enhancing unit economics, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
You will collaborate closely with teams in Treasury, Compliance, Product, and Growth to facilitate sustainable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Market Growth
Establish and oversee strategic alliances with banks, financial institutions, aggregators, and mobile money providers
Assess and identify potential partners to support the launch of corridors and drive volume growth
Manage the partner onboarding process from initial discussions to successful implementation
Commercial Negotiation & Strategy
Lead negotiations concerning pricing, foreign exchange margins, settlement terms, service level agreements, and transaction volumes
Revise existing contracts to optimize fees, limits, liquidity, and service reliability
Create mutually beneficial partnerships aligned with LemFi’s strategic growth goals
Regulatory Engagement & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with regulatory bodies alongside Compliance and Legal teams
Assist in licensing negotiations, regulatory submissions, and comprehensive partner due diligence
Act as a trusted external representative for LemFi, fostering robust relationships with stakeholders
