As a Business Development Manager for Architecture & Design in North India, you will play a pivotal role in driving market awareness and specification for Avery Dennison's innovative product portfolios. Your responsibilities will encompass:
1. Market Awareness & Specification (The 'Spec-In' Engine)
BOQ Specification: Engage proactively with leading Tier-1 Architects and Design firms to integrate Avery Dennison products (sun control, security, wall, and privacy films) into project blueprints.
Thought Leadership: Represent Avery Dennison at industry events, trade shows, and A&D seminars to enhance brand visibility and recall.
Prescriptive Selling: Conduct technical workshops and 'Lunch & Learn' sessions for Interior Designers, PMCs, and Corporate Real Estate leaders to demonstrate application possibilities.
Market Intelligence: Keep a pulse on major upcoming projects across various sectors including Commercial, Hospitality, Government, Healthcare, and Social Infrastructure to position our solutions effectively.
2. Strategic Ecosystem Development
Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and sustain a strong network with Architects, PMCs, Facade Consultants, and Developers.
Segment Expansion: Identify and exploit new market opportunities in Government, Residential, and specialized sectors.
Competitive Defense: Monitor competitor actions and develop strategies to convert competitor specifications to Avery Dennison by showcasing our unique value proposition.
3. Sales Strategy & Channel Synergy
Strategic Planning: Formulate and implement a long-term growth strategy for North India focusing on both acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
Revenue & Margin: Meet Spec-in and Conversion targets emphasizing high-value, specification-driven projects over commodity sales.
Distribution Alignment: Collaborate with distributors, converters, and resellers to ensure they are prepared to meet the demand generated through your specification efforts.
4. Operational Excellence
Pipeline Tracking: Maintain a detailed project tracker (SFDC) to monitor project progress from initial specification to final installation.
Expense Management: Manage the promotional budget for events and exhibitions effectively to maximize ROI.
Reporting: Regularly plan, report, and review activities to keep stakeholders informed and establish action plans for the next 30-90 days.
5. Customer & Service Programs:
Utilize marketing campaigns to provide a distinctive value proposition to customers, converting competitor customers to Avery Dennison and generating new leads.
Lead the execution of customer programs such as Technical Training Sessions and Portfolio Workshops.
6. Competitive Environment & Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry trends and competitor strategies to refine and enhance our approach continuously.
