Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is pivotal in enhancing the company’s market presence across various regions in Africa. This role involves identifying, developing, negotiating, and finalizing business relationships while driving substantial financial growth for the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, along with the capability to strategically plan and execute business development KPIs. Key Responsibilities:
- Define long-term strategic business goals, nurture customer relationships, identify new opportunities, negotiate deals, and maintain current market awareness.
- Conduct thorough market surveys and mapping, providing detailed reports on emerging trends.
- Enhance sales opportunities and maximize revenue generation.
- Identify and cultivate potential new clients, transitioning them into active customers while expanding the existing portfolio.
- Manage current client relationships while developing new business avenues.
- Collaborate with local enterprises to secure necessary resources and services.
- Work closely with the country manager to effectively implement product line strategies.
- Analyze reports to gain insights into the organization’s financial and operational standing.
- Engage in networking, pitching, and persuading potential clients to partner with the company.
- Research and uncover new business opportunities, including market expansions, growth areas, and innovative ways to reach customers.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders in business development efforts.
- Participate in pricing and quotations for clients while adhering to relevant industry policies and regulations.
- Attend industry events, such as association gatherings and chamber conferences, to provide insights on market trends.
- Consult with mid-level management on business trends, potential opportunities, and forecasts.
- Understand and align with the company’s mission to consistently improve performance.
