Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, your mission will be to identify and qualify vendors engaged in the expansive $2T+ market of state, local, and educational (SLED) agencies. This role transcends scripted calls; it requires a profound understanding of prospects’ go-to-market strategies and how NationGraph can empower them to secure more contracts. If you thrive in outbound sales, adapt quickly, and aspire to join a capital-backed company poised for growth in a substantial market, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new sales opportunities via inbound qualification and outbound outreach.
Assess and qualify prospects using a consultative sales approach.
Expand the sales funnel through both warm and cold outreach campaigns.
Conduct research on potential companies and add qualified prospects to our outbound list.
Ensure accurate maintenance of client relationship data.
Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong listening skills and an engaging presence on calls and at events.
Comfortable using sales, prospecting, and marketing tools and processes.
Commitment to tracking and enhancing daily performance and efficiency.
Genuine interest in understanding business challenges faced by clients.
Entrepreneurial spirit: a proactive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ability to navigate undefined processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in customer-facing or sales roles.
