Become a Part of Our Business Finance Department
As our new project controller, you will join the Business Finance team. We provide business controlling and project controlling services to all Ramboll operations in Norway. Our core values include joy at work, independence, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
In this position, you will be part of the project controlling team, consisting of 16 employees across offices in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Drammen, and Tønsberg. You will report to the Project Control Manager, and your workplace will be located in Tønsberg or Skøyen, Oslo.
About the Role
As a project controller, you will contribute to the management of the organization’s projects from a financial perspective. This involves proactively analyzing key figures, forecasting changes, and identifying discrepancies while providing suggestions for improvement measures. In this role, you will act as a business partner, collaborating closely with project owners and managers to implement and ensure adherence to financial guidelines and procedures for the projects. You will support decision-making by providing insights and conducting root cause analyses when necessary. Additionally, you will actively participate in steering group meetings alongside project leaders and other stakeholders. You will work closely with the business area’s business controller, department heads, project managers, and other project support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the financial aspects of your project portfolio,
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, risk management, optimization of working capital, and continuous project monitoring.
- Responsible for project setup and ongoing maintenance.
- Analyze key metrics, changes in forecasts, and discrepancies, and provide proposals for improvement measures.
- Coordinate, monitor, and create financial reports regarding results, budgets, and forecasts for the projects.
- Guide and assist project managers in financial monitoring and cost control in our medium-sized projects.
- Maintain ongoing reconciliations of projects and costs with project managers regarding active projects.
- Ensure local and global procedures and processes for Ramboll Norway's projects.
