The Team:
Join Datadog’s dynamic Go-to-Market (GTM) Enablement and Business Value department as a pivotal member of the Business Value team. We collaborate closely with sales teams to craft compelling business cases that validate customer investments in Datadog’s innovative solutions. Our efforts bolster value-selling practices across the organization, helping to define and quantify the substantial impact our products have for key decision-makers through ROI and TCO models.
The Opportunity:
We are on the lookout for a driven and analytical Business Value Associate located in New York City. In this customer-centric role, you will work alongside our clients and sales teams to develop robust business cases that illustrate the tangible business value of our offerings. You will engage in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Post-Sales, and Marketing as we scale our Business Value function. This position promises hands-on experience in value engineering, while enlightening customers about the financial ramifications of digital transformation.
You Will:
- Assist in conducting business value assessments for strategic deals, partnering with key clients to uncover their business drivers and calculate the ROI of Datadog’s products.
- Implement comprehensive ROI/TCO models to deliver clear financial justifications for both prospective and current customers.
- Support sales representatives during discovery sessions with technical and business stakeholders to reveal their primary objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Create executive-level presentations and narratives for C-suite executives, ensuring that data is presented clearly and persuasively.
- Conduct data-driven analyses to support sales opportunities, identifying areas where Datadog can enhance customer operations.
- Contribute to the creation of resources (e.g., templates, calculators, and talk tracks) to further globalize the Business Value Program.
- Collaborate on field enablement initiatives by assisting in value-selling training and maintaining knowledge management resources for sales teams.
- Encourage the adoption of Datadog’s value-selling methodology through consistent engagement with the field.
You Are:
- You possess 4+ years of professional experience in business value, management consulting, IT consulting, or sales operations.
- You hold a BA/BS degree in an analytical discipline (e.g., Economics, Finance, Engineering).
- You have a strong consultative approach and are adept at constructing and articulating financial models.
