Your Challenge
In this role, you will focus on analyzing and developing mathematical optimization modules and (meta)heuristics, serving as the foundational optimization framework across various applications in our software. Your contributions are vital in ensuring efihr's cutting-edge supply chain planning and process optimization.
We embrace an integrated approach where every team member is engaged throughout the software development lifecycle: analysis, architectural design, programming, and maintenance. We expect you to take pride in your code and assume ownership of your work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building networks with academia to incorporate the latest insights into our software, prioritizing performance in algorithm design and implementation.
- Providing expert support to users of these modules, equipping them with the right tools for their tasks.
- Collaborating closely with fellow software developers while maintaining direct communication with our consultants who implement our software in client applications.
- Writing and debugging mathematical models and assisting in customer support, depending on your interests and expertise.
About You
Essential skills and qualifications include:
- A master’s degree in a mathematical, scientific, computer science, or engineering discipline with a focus on operations research algorithms; a PhD in one of these areas is a significant advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of mathematics and algorithms pertinent to mathematical optimization techniques and heuristics.
- Strong expertise in modern C++ programming.
