Join Our Team as a Cabinet and Trim Installer!
re:fab is seeking skilled cabinet and trim installers to collaborate with us as subcontractors on an exciting commercial project in Yorktown Heights, NY.
In this role, you will take charge of pricing, constructing, installing, and repairing various structures and items using a wide range of materials, including wood and other building supplies, for our commercial renovation division. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in both commercial and residential new construction, rough framing, and remodeling tasks, including the installation of siding, windows, and doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with our estimating team to prepare job quotes
- Accurately measure, mark, and arrange materials according to blueprints or instructions provided by re:fab supervisors
- Cut and shape structures and fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
- Utilize various hand and power tools to build assigned projects securely
- Join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives as appropriate
- Verify the accuracy of completed work using tools such as levels and framing squares, making corrections as necessary
- Install windows, doors, cabinets, partitions, moldings, and more
- Execute remodeling projects for both homes and businesses
- Conduct carpentry work efficiently and in a timely manner
- Coordinate with our operations team to obtain necessary construction permits
- Maintain detailed reports of work completed and submit daily logs to the re:fab team
- Complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Comply with local building and safety codes and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Strong communication and writing abilities
- In-depth knowledge of commercial construction practices, procedures, and safety
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents (blueprints, plans, specifications, etc.)
- Preferred: CSL license
- Must maintain valid Workman’s Comp and General Liability insurance for self and crew

- Minimum of 2 years of professional general carpentry experience
- Required: experience in residential framing and remodeling
- Preferred: knowledge of handicap codes (AAB, ADA, etc.)
- Must possess an OSHA 10 card
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Must have own tools and a reliable, insured truck
