Position Title: Casual Housing Support Worker

Compensation: $26.26 - $28.52 per hour

Primary Objectives:
As a Housing Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering ongoing, comprehensive support services to tenants in Pacifica’s Supportive Housing programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centered support services aligned with a “housing first” philosophy;
- Adhering to established policies and procedures related to Property Management;
- Supporting tenants using a Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) approach;
- Advocating for tenants with various community agencies;
- Responding to overdose situations and administering naloxone as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver personalized, person-centered support to tenants:
- Develop, document, implement, monitor, and evaluate customized support plans;
- Assist with case management by identifying and addressing potential challenges;
- Provide valuable input to counselors and other professionals regarding effective program plans;
- Observe and assess tenants' mental health and substance use, determining when additional support is needed;
- Recognize and respond to potential emergency situations;
- Encourage tenant engagement in decision-making concerning housing and support policies;
- Deliver life skills training, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and self-management;
- Assist tenants in navigating Ministry services;
- Help tenants manage finances, coordinating with the Public Trustee, budgeting, and ensuring timely payments;
- Contribute to evaluating tenant progress and preparing related reports;
- Support tenant participation in community activities.
