- This role involves performing various types of radiographic procedures using different imaging equipment. The Radiologic Technologist serves as the primary point of contact for patients, assisting them in fulfilling their imaging requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilizes markers consistently during imaging procedures.
- Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
- Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of various imaging exams.
- Produces high-quality radiographs consistently.
- Understands and efficiently operates CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation.
- Documents complete patient histories for review by radiologists.
- Utilizes PACS with minimal errors, ensuring efficient data handling.
- Demonstrates effective time management and productivity, engaging in constructive tasks during slower periods (e.g., stocking rooms, managing linen, assisting with transport).
- Assesses and addresses patient discomfort that may interfere with imaging procedures, contacting physicians for intervention as necessary.
- Understands medication access via Pyxis, recognizes available medications for various procedures, and ensures physician verification upon receipt.
- Adheres to medical and surgical aseptic protocols, emphasizing proper hand hygiene.
- Effectively multitasks across various responsibilities.
- Timely acknowledges and completes examinations.
