This role is based out of our Pasadena, Texas terminal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tanker trucks for the transport of bulk liquid materials.
- Load and unload using hoses, pumps, and valves while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
- Comply with DOT, EPA, and all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Represent Altom Transport with professionalism during customer interactions.
Qualifications:
At Altom Transport, we uphold rigorous driver qualifications and a safety-first culture to guarantee professional, compliant, and well-supported operations. Our requirements include:
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Tanker Endorsement (N) – Required
- Hazmat Endorsement (H) – Preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available)
- TWIC Card – Preferred (or must obtain after hire)
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tanker driving experience
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Clean MVR and a strong safety record
- Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Dependable, safety-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations if needed
- Rigorous onboarding and new hire safety training through the Safety Department
- Mandatory quarterly safety meetings throughout the fleet
Driver Vetting & Qualification Process:
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tanker experience within the last 5 years
- No DUI/OWI on record within the last 5 years
- Must not be prohibited in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- No preventable fatal or rollover accidents in the last 5 years
