Key Responsibilities
As a Chargeback Specialist, you will be essential in managing complex disputes and chargebacks, ensuring prompt, fair resolutions while minimizing financial risks. You will report directly to the Complaints Manager and play a vital role in safeguarding customer trust and our financial integrity. Your typical day will include:
Manage Complex Cases – Oversee the entire lifecycle of high-priority disputes, from initiation and investigation to evidence gathering, drafting responses, and escalation through internal and external channels.
Conduct In-depth Analysis – Examine chargeback data to identify root causes, emerging trends, and process deficiencies. Convert findings into actionable steps for prevention and recovery, benefiting the team and management.
Enhance Processes – Proactively suggest and implement enhancements to existing workflows, SLAs, and quality assurance measures to boost win rates, reduce manual tasks, and accelerate cycle times.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations and best practices in chargebacks and consumer protection.
Foster Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with teams including FinCrime, Customer Support, Legal, and Product to provide insights that help prevent chargebacks and enhance customer satisfaction.
Utilize Tools & Reporting – Expertly utilize and refine internal tools and reporting mechanisms to track performance, quality, and risk metrics, and assist in defining reporting needs.
