Join us as a Chef de Rang at Mauro Colagreco Restaurants, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service that reflects our brand's commitment to excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests from arrival to departure, enhancing their time with us. You will lead a service station and manage commis waiters to facilitate an efficient and pleasant dining atmosphere.
In addition to maintaining your station and the overall restaurant environment, you will serve as a crucial link between the back of house and front of house teams. You will also provide support to hostesses, baristas, and other team members, while relaying guest feedback and requests to management.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and all offerings at Mauro Colagreco Restaurants.
- Accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables with detailed explanations of each dish.
- Serve as the primary communication channel between front and back of house staff.
- Assist wait staff with table settings, ensuring appropriate tableware and utensils are in place.
- Provide guests with knowledgeable and professional explanations of menu items.
- Regularly check in with customers to take additional orders or refill beverages as requested by senior staff.
- Responsible for serving food and clearing used dishes and utensils efficiently.
- Adhere to safety standards in food service and report any hazards immediately.
- Encourage sustainable practices in waste management and purchasing.
- Take on additional responsibilities in the absence of supervisors or senior staff.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in different departments or restaurants as required.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Report and rectify potential hazards promptly.
- Be knowledgeable of all departmental emergency procedures.
- Ensure the safety of guests and property through adherence to laws and regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness within the team.
