About the job
ABOUT NEIGHBORHOOD CHARTER SCHOOLS
Neighborhood Charter Schools (NCS) is a dynamic public charter school network located in Harlem and the Bronx, dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students. We operate with a fundamental belief that every child deserves to be recognized, valued, and supported in their entirety. Our schools embody a true neighborhood model, emphasizing strong relationships with families and a commitment to creating a sense of belonging for every student.
What sets NCS apart is our intentional approach to inclusion. Our classrooms, schedules, and support systems are thoughtfully designed to integrate autistic students, multilingual learners, students with IEPs, and general education students. Inclusion is not merely an initiative; it is the core of our operational philosophy and the foundation of our students' daily learning experiences.
As NCS transitions from a K–8 network to a K–12 system, the establishment of our inaugural high school represents a pivotal moment for our organization. This growth phase necessitates a unified vision across our schools, clarity in our systems, and robust leadership to maintain excellence and consistency throughout the network.
