JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Engineer for Compute will play a pivotal role in our mission to equip American warfighters with superior capabilities. You will lead multiple initiatives aimed at developing rugged, high-performance edge AI compute platforms tailored to various military applications. Collaborating with industry partners, you will identify uniquely American components and sub-manufacturers to create a diverse portfolio of mission-specific compute solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with industry vendors to design innovative AI compute architectures, integrated systems, and board-level solutions.
- Collaborate with diverse engineering teams to fulfill customer requirements effectively.
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to define system interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and efficient development.
- Architect comprehensive system designs that incorporate all critical components and subsystems for an integrated approach.
- Establish key capabilities and performance benchmarks for hardware systems, aligning with customer needs and industry standards.
- Break down system functionality into modular components to streamline design and development.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and provide strategic recommendations regarding external technology partnerships and vendors to accelerate hardware development.
- Oversee technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost analysis, risk assessment, and supportability evaluations.
- Lead functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer needs into actionable system specifications.
