About the Role
We are on the lookout for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead financial strategy, governance, and performance management for a prominent industrial manufacturing organization with multiple production sites.
This role invites international finance leaders who possess a robust background in manufacturing, compliance with listed company standards, and navigating complex industrial settings. We encourage applications from candidates based in Europe, South Africa, and other developed industrial markets. Relocation assistance is provided.
The CFO will serve as a strategic ally to the CEO and Board, fostering financial discipline, transparency, and sustainable value creation throughout the organization.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Executive Leadership
- Formulate and implement the company’s financial strategy to promote growth, profitability, and sustainability.
- Lead comprehensive financial planning, scenario modeling, and capital allocation decisions.
- Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team.
- Champion financial transformation initiatives, including systems, policies, internal controls, and reporting frameworks.
Financial Reporting, Controls & Compliance
- Supervise precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS.
- Enhance internal controls across procurement, inventory, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and cash management.
- Guarantee adherence to governance, disclosure, and regulatory standards.
- Lead interactions with external auditors, advisors, and regulatory agencies.
Manufacturing & Operational Finance (Cable / Electrical Products)
- Oversee industrial costing and margin analysis across multifaceted manufacturing operations.
- Manage raw-material cost visibility (copper, aluminum, polymers, steel, and consumables).
- Track production KPIs including efficiency, yield, scrap, variances, and working capital.
- Collaborate with operations and commercial teams on pricing, product mix, profitability, and CAPEX decisions.
Treasury, Liquidity & Capital Structure
- Direct liquidity planning, cash-flow forecasting, and banking relationships.
- Supervise treasury activities, including trade finance, hedging, and foreign-exchange exposure.
- Optimize capital structure to support growth and capital-investment initiatives.
