The Real Estate Services (RES) division of DCAS plays a crucial role in supporting the operational needs of New York City government by managing real estate services. RES is responsible for space planning and management of 37 million square feet, overseeing citywide acquisitions (leasing or purchasing), sales, and other dispositions of City-owned real estate, architectural design and project management, zoning and land use analyses, as well as property valuation and financial analysis of real estate transactions.
We are currently seeking a Chief of Staff who will report directly to the Deputy Commissioner of RES and undertake a diverse range of responsibilities. This pivotal role involves advising the Deputy Commissioner and senior staff on business, legal, administrative, and strategic matters that arise across all units within the RES division, including Leasing and Acquisitions, Design and Construction, Real Estate Financial Services, and Land Use and Property Dispositions.
