The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a vital strategic ally to the Managing Partner of Capco Canada, adeptly converting business objectives into effective operational strategies. This multifaceted role integrates strategy, operations, human resources, finance, and executive coordination to ensure the successful execution of the firm's priorities.
The COO will synchronize efforts between practice leaders, sales management, and operational teams to promote revenue growth, ensure client delivery excellence, and optimize operational efficiency. This leadership position necessitates exceptional business acumen, analytical prowess, and the capability to navigate complex cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Execution
- Collaborate with the Canada Managing Partner to translate business objectives into actionable operational plans while ensuring alignment among the leadership team.
- Monitor and assess progress towards the firm's strategic objectives and growth targets.
- Lead the preparation for global business reviews and Canada strategy sessions, ensuring alignment with geo operations and functional leaders.
- Facilitate and support strategic initiatives such as market expansion, practice development, M&A integration, and the introduction of new service offerings, ensuring coherence among firm strategy, practice strategy, and revenue goals.
2. Financial Performance Management
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Canada P&L, focusing on key revenue drivers, cost structures, and margin performance.
- Act as a financial partner to the Canada Managing Partner and leadership team, providing insights into business performance.
- Champion initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue growth, margins, and overall financial performance.
- Collaborate with Finance to identify risks and opportunities affecting profitability in terms of utilization, pricing, delivery efficiency, and manage cost forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Convert financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Utilize a strong financial perspective to support decision-making, balancing growth with sustainable profitability.
