Part-Time/Non-Exempt
- Minimum age of 18 years and a high school diploma or GED required. An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution is mandatory.
- Ability to acquire a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent as specified by the YMCA Childcare Branch.
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment and maintained thereafter.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, demonstrating strong leadership skills to motivate and supervise staff. Experience in planning and program development is advantageous.
- Prior experience in licensed childcare settings is essential.
- A minimum of 1 year of office administration and customer service experience is required.
- Supervisory experience of at least 1 year is highly preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, with an insurable driving record according to YMCA standards, and reliable transportation for business-related travel are required.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Must report any suspicions of abuse or neglect to the appropriate local authorities.
- Actively engage with children in the classroom as a teacher/Senior Activity Leader.
- Assist in the planning, design, evaluation, and execution of all facets of the childcare programs, adhering to YMCA of the USA and YMCA of Greater Dayton guidelines.
- Manage the program within budgetary constraints while ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Maintain necessary enrollment levels and oversee compliance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) regulations.
- Collaborate with ODJFS staff to facilitate required reporting and inspections.
