A Day in the Life:
Your daily activities will vary, but you can expect to:
- Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care to ensure young people feel safe and supported.
- Build positive relationships and encourage healthy routines.
- Prepare nutritious meals, assist with education, and promote life skills.
- Advocate for their needs, ensuring they are heard and valued.
- Facilitate medical appointments and community engagements.
- Utilize your own vehicle for transportation when necessary.
- Empower them to confidently transition into their next chapter.
What We Seek:
Previous experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
A flexible approach (availability for waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins as needed)
A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
A relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is desirable but not mandatory.
What We Offer:
Competitive Compensation:
£17.50 - £24.00 per hour (PAYE Rate, including holiday pay)
£20.00 - £28.00 per hour (Umbrella Rate)
