The Mary Cali Dalton Recreation Center in Staten Island is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility designed to serve as a community hub, offering a range of programming options and amenities that promote learning, recreation, and fitness. It features a gymnasium, fitness rooms, and multi-purpose spaces for afterschool, summer camp, robotics, and arts & cultural programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the supervision of a Center Manager, assist with general maintenance tasks at the recreation center, including lawn mowing, edging, seeding, snow removal, cultivating, fertilizing, sod laying, hedge trimming, litter collection, and waste disposal.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities, including public restrooms.
- Conduct minor repairs in areas such as plumbing, masonry, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
- Operate vehicles and other motorized equipment safely.
- Perform routine safety checks on facilities and equipment.
- May require physical activity, including moving furniture and climbing as needed.
