AECOM is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Civil Inspector to join our team for a significant Roads and Infrastructure project based in Dubai. This position entails overseeing and inspecting the implementation of roadworks and infrastructure to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly understand the project's contractual documentation, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety protocols, including any updates.
- Ensure contractors adhere to contract specifications and standards.
- Keep accurate records of daily resources, including contractor personnel and equipment.
- Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
- Engage with contractors daily to verify resource management, health and safety compliance, and equipment availability on site.
- Generate daily reports for the RE or ARE, detailing work orders, material deliveries, and inspection schedules.
- Implement site instructions issued by the RE and ARE.
- Enforce quality controls and procedures on site.
- Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as needed for alignment and levels of pipes.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the client project manager during site inspections in conjunction with the RE or ARE.
- Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant documentation.
- Assist the RE and ARE in drafting correspondence aligned with contract stipulations and site necessities.
- Address site issues promptly in collaboration with the RE or ARE.
- Oversee the startup, commissioning, and handover of site works, ensuring project milestones are documented.
- Maintain records of performed material tests and executed works.
- Conduct audits of inspections for compliance with contract documents and contractor submissions.
