Position Summary:
The Cleaning Plant Operator for the swing shift plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facility while adhering to stringent food safety regulations and guidelines. This position involves monitoring and operating process control equipment, including valving, packaging, and engineering, while accurately interpreting plant procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and changeover cleaning line equipment efficiently.
- Utilize analytical skills to differentiate between material defects and equipment malfunctions for effective troubleshooting.
- Conduct cleaning of the production line between product runs and after each run.
- Review product specifications and configure machinery accordingly.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the line and adjacent areas, removing any obstructions.
- Inspect product line components and labels/settings, reporting any quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Understand the operation and troubleshooting of each piece of equipment, including its capabilities and limitations.
- Complete documentation at the end of each product run and daily operations.
- Achieve or exceed production targets for the products processed.
- Effectively utilize machinery manuals for optimal operations.
- Monitor and adjust equipment lines to maintain safety and production efficiency.
- Assist in other areas and departments as required.
The CPLT lead will act as a backup during the absence of the CPLT operator.
